The Black Phoebe hangs out on top of our hummingbird feeder & on our fence.

Fun Trivia:

  • It is a small flycatcher with a black head, back, sides, and upper chest.Phoebes are territorial and will often fly toward you and then lead you away from their nest.

    Its preferred habitats include shady areas near water, streams, ponds, and lakes; it also occurs in city parks and open chaparral in winter.
